Rossitta wood CastleRose St 300-year-old Dutch mansion. Rooms, with quirky features and lots of wood-panelling, set around an open-air restaurant courtyard. Breakfast included. Art gallery, library, internet cafe, spa, hot water and yoga. Caza Maria HotelJew Town Rd Just two huge and wonderful rooms in beautiful converted house, with tiled floors, wooden furniture and antiques: isolated (the only hotel in Jew Town), romantic and shabbily elegant. Fan only. Breakfast is included, at French/Indian restaurant of same name (on the opposite side of the street). Highly recommended. Raintree LodgePetercelli St Friendly little lodge in quiet location. Large clean rooms all with hot water and a/c. Pretty roof terrace to relax on. Chiramel ResidencyLilly St Airy old family home. Non a/c rooms with lots of wood floors, high ceilings, and period furnishings. A/c rooms in modern annex are disappointingly plain and overpriced. ErnakulamAbad PlazaM G Rd Large modern rooms all with a/c, fridge and cable TV. Rooms on street side can be noisy, quieter rooms on 5th floor. Breakfast included. Restaurants, gym, Ayurveda clinic, rooftop pool. Recommended. MetropolitanChavara Rd Bright, spotlessly clean modern a/c rooms, excellent restaurants and service, superb value. Best railway station hotel in South India. Recommended. DwarakaM G Rd Centrally located, family-run hotel. Good-sized, rather noisy rooms with TV, some with balcony. Only moderately clean. Adequate. SAAS TowerCanon Shed Rd Friendly but noisy hotel, very popular with lndian families. Clean rooms with good baths. Great location, restaurant, good value. Recommended. YMCA lnternational HouseChittoor Rd Simple rooms (some a/c), restaurant, welcoming.
