Easily the best address in Fort Kochi, adjacent to the Chinese fishing nets on the edge of the Arabian Sea. 18 characterful rooms and 4 deluxe suites, each of which overlooks the harbour in an elegantly restored original boatyard and merchant's house built around a courtyard with a giant rain-tree. Charming details include air perfumed with lemongrass and jasmine on pillows. Generous swimming pooi. Discounts Apr-Sep.
Beautiful, comfortable rooms, superbly styled with old wooden furniture, overlooking large, breezy courtyard of pretty pot plants and sit-outs. The suite is easily the most romantic with a 4-poster bed and white cotton. Attentive livered staff, breakfast included, average food but excellent cakes and Turkish coffee, and lovely calm atmosphere. Recommended.
Adequate a/c rooms in the charming former residence to the British collector of Cochin, Mr. Ballard, with restaurant, satellite TV, foreign exchange and travel desk.
Tidy bungalows set in a quiet walled courtyard with its own little jetty. Some rooms charmingly old fashioned, others made from bamboo. Newer, more expensive rooms have modern baths. Extremely mixed reports on service and rooms. Good restaurant overlooking the water.
This lovingly restored Portuguese provides a welcoming peaceful haven. Airy, spotlessly clean rooms open onto a wide terrace, budget rooms are great value. The garden is a riot of colourful blooms. Breakfast is served at the family table. A home away from home. Highly recommended.

Immaculate rooms with commanding views over bay. Good restaurants, gym, bar, all business facilities and friendly service.
Popular Indian business hotel. Clean spacious rooms, some a/c, best is the sea-facing. Restaurant with excellent lunch thalis (South lndian and North lndian). Great service, good value.
Slightly dank and musty rooms in quiet location. Good value singles. Friendly staff.
